Engineering Lab Technician

We are looking for an Engineering Technician to support the design, testing, and production of customizable gaming hardware, requiring experience in mechanical and electronic systems, troubleshooting, and practical lab skills.

Role Outline – Engineering Technician

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Engineering Technician role will make an impact:

·      Assist engineering leads in design process, part sourcing and documentation

·      Assist engineering leads in investigating and testing for product development and compliance with Microsoft Xbox requirements, and relevant regulation

·      Work with enineering and production leads in developing, troubleshooting, standardising and improving existing production methods and procedures

·      Assist with documentation to support the design, testing and production processes

·      Interface with a variety of internal personnel and with outside vendors when necessary while performing the above

·      Write reports and verify reports from other members

Requirements

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills andexperiences:

·      NationalMechanical/Electrical craft certificate or a Third Level Diploma/Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g., electrical, automation, instrumentationor mechanical, firmware)

·      Strong experience with mechanical and electronic systems and knowledge of test instrumentation

·      At least 3 years’ experience, with hands on experience of practical lab skillsets e.g. soldering, machine operation, regression testing, probing, machine and lab maintanence, calibration

·      Clear understanding and experience of maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation and automation systems

·      A scientific approach to problem solving and troubleshooting utilizing well-honed analytical skills

·      Preferably a strong interest in gaming and gaming hardware

·      The ability to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative. You must have relevant PC skills, including use of MS excel, MS word
