ByoWave, the Irish startup behind the Proteus modular controller, have announced the launch of two next-generation products available exclusively on its website, ByoWave.com: the upgraded Proteus Controller™ Kit and the brand-new Proteus Builder™ Aurora Series (Limited Edition).

Designed for gamers who want comfort, creative expression, or a competitive edge, both controllers let players build layouts that match their hands, playstyle, and setup – instead of forcing everyone into a single fixed design. 

Their modular approach also gives players more freedom to experiment with different grips, layouts, and positions – which can be especially helpful for people who prefer non-traditional setups, want to reduce strain, or need to work around specific physical constraints. The Proteus Controller Kit: One Kit, Multiple Controllers

The Proteus Controller Kit is the world’s first fully modular and adaptable video game controller. It’s built from snap-together cubes and peripheral modules that can be reconfigured into multiple layouts – including two-handed, one-handed, and tabletop setups – without tools or any coding.

The Aurora Series includes:
